About Me
Alex Hoskyns blends controlled smokey vocal textures with lyrical storytelling to express love, loss, and other problems faced throughout her young life. Inspired vocally by the soul of Janis Joplin, Ray Charles, Susan Tedeschi, and Nina Simone, she can appreciate a good sultry folk ballad just as much as a screaming funk song with full horns.

This singer songwriter from Boston, Massachusetts performs her original music in venues and festivals around boston, in addition to soloing with the following notable groups: Berklee Tower Of Power Ensemble, Berkalit, Point of Departure, Berklee Singers Night, Les Arts Berklee Showcase at Palau de les Arts (Val Spain).
She is currently finishing her Contemporary Writing and Production degree at Berklee College of Music, with specializations in composing for media, and will continue her performance and production studies in Valencia Spain in Fall 2025.
Alex is exploring her identity as both a soulful blues performer, as well as a emotive folk songwriter, and is searching for new spaces where her old soul can be heard.
