About Me

Alex’s voice carries the low rumble of the first commuter train, soulfully commanding in the smoke of a gray morning. Her genre mirrors her temperament, moving from the melancholy of cinematic folk, to cynical funk-rock. Like an honest friend, her candid lyricism ruminates in discomfort, addressing thoughts you’ve tried to avoid. In the words of Interscope Records' Ricco Love,
"she can take an idea, a concept, andexpress it in a way I've never heard it expressed before."

Shaped by her father’s blues-soaked piano riffs and a worn Susan Tedeschi CD, she has combined soul with over a decade of choir experience. At just 21, armed with two degrees and an expanding arsenal of musical skills, Alex is beginning to carve out a world entirely her own.

Her music has carried her from Boston staples such as Club Passim, the Lizard Lounge, the Hatch Shell, Symphony Hall, and festivals such as the Campfire festival and Wake Up the Earth. Across the Atlantic, she has often collaborated with the Palau de Les Arts in Spain, earning a reputation as a commanding live presence and expanding her artistry to international audiences.

Amid the chaos, quietly sipping a cappuccino, she writes music that reminds you:
Even the soft can shout.
